We still have some places available across our BSc and MSc intercalated courses. So we are extending the application deadline until 5pm on Monday 15th December.
We are able to still offer some places on the following courses:
BSc Emergency, Pre-hospital and Immediate Care (EPIC)
BSc Pharmacology
MSc Applied Bioinformatics
MSc Applied & Experimental Clinical Immunology
BSc courses within BIOSI
BSc courses at Bangor University
To apply please use the link to the online application form available in the Intercalated section of both Year 3 and Year 4 Learning Central pages. You can list preferences for up to 3 different intercalated courses.
Information relating to the courses is available in the Year 3 and Year 4 Intercalated section on Learning Central. If you would like further information to help you make a choice, please feel free to contact me in the first instance and I can redirect your query to colleagues.
NB This is a new extended application deadline. All offers that have already been made to applicants will be maintained and will not be affected by this extended deadline in any way.
So if previously you weren’t quite sure whether to apply or not, of if you thought that there might be too many applications and you wouldn’t be offered a place, then this is a great opportunity to reconsider your plans. If you’d like to intercalate next year, don’t miss out and make sure you apply by the 15th December.
By intercalating you will be able to learn much more about an aspect of medicine that really interests you, often in face to face interactive settings, you will have the opportunity to develop skills such as critical thinking, scientific writing and presenting work orally or through a research poster, and you’ll have a chance to carry out a research project which can be the highlight for many intercalating students.
In particular, intercalation might really appeal to you if you are thinking of applying to Specialised Foundation Posts (previously known as the academic foundation posts) which have dedicated time in training for research or medical education or leadership.
