WCAT Clinical Lecturer Diabetes and Endocrinology at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd

Dr. Mohammad Alhadj Ali

Talk on: Global Refugee Health and International Humanitarian Aid

Dr Mohammad Alhadj Ali is an academic clinician, Consultant Physician, and Senior Lecturer in Medicine at Cardiff University. Alongside his clinical and research work in diabetes and immunotherapy, he is a committed global health advocate. As Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Welsh Refugee Council, he works at the intersection of health, migration, and social justice, championing equitable access to healthcare for refugees and displaced communities in the UK and beyond.

Surgical Ask Me Anything (AMA)

An informal drop-in session with a surgical consultant. Ask anything from work–life balance and training pathways to whether a career in surgery is right for you.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £5 for students and £10 for faculty and professionals to reflect the lower count of tickets. All tickets include full-day access to workshops, talks, stalls, and includes lunch and tea.

Abstract Submission

Submissions are welcomed from students and early-career researchers across all medical and healthcare-related disciplines. Submissions are to follow the themes as stated above. All submissions will be reviewed by the conference panel using standardised criteria to assess clarity, relevance and quality. 

 

Cardiff Year 3 Medical Students have an extended submission deadline for the 2nd of March.

All submissions are for poster presentations with an option to be eligible for an oral presentation. Successful applicants will be notified by Cardiff MedSoc by the end of February.

*You do not need prior publication. Projects, audits, reflections, and student-led initiatives are welcome.
