Doctor-Led Teaching for Finals

A message from Countdown2Finals:

Dear Students,

Hope your prep for your upcoming finals are going well!

We are the Countdown 2 Finals, a teaching programme run by doctors in the West Yorkshire deanery. We’ve been running a comprehensive lecture series to help fifth year medical students prepare for finals for a few years now, and the standardisation of the UKMLA format has allowed us to expand the programme to students all over the country. Last year our lectures were attended by hundreds of fifth years across more than twenty different medical schools and were very well-received.

The lectures are run by doctors, many of whom have recently sat the UKMLA themselves or are trainees in the specialities they’ll be teaching, and aim to help fill in any gaps you may have in your revision. Each lecturer will cover key clinical topics, study tips as well as common UKMLA-style questions. You’ll also be able to ask questions during the sessions. The programme is completely free and you’re welcome to pick and choose which sessions you’d like to attend.

Lectures will run exclusively online via MedAll from 7-9pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. MedAll is a free-to-use platform and will give you access to the slides straight away for your revision.

These lectures will be a fantastic opportunity to consolidate your revision for finals. All you need to do is:

1.    Create a MedAll account (free for anyone with a University or NHS email) via the following link https://medall.org/. Follow the Countdown 2 Finals MedAll community to receive invitations to each lecture via email.

2.    Follow us on social media for regular updates on lecture dates and content. Follow @Countdown2Finals2025  Instagram account.

If you have any questions, or if there’s anything in particular you’d like us to cover, please drop us a message on our socials or email p.muthukumar@nhs.net or adithi.randeni@nhs.net! The full timetable is attached below.

Looking forward to seeing you all! Lectures start next week on Tuesday :)

Yours Sincerely,

C2F Committee
