Sports and Exercise Lecture Series for Medical Students

Hi,

My name is George and I am an FY2 doctor currently working in South Wales. I am hosting a series of upcoming lectures centred around Sports and Exercise Medicine with some crossover with the medical school curriculum. It will be targeted to medical students of all years, will be completely free and will aim to fill the gap in medical studies of musculoskeletal medicine and exercise health.

I’m extremely passionate about this project as someone who would have loved to have further teaching on interesting and important SEM topics, but never had the chance. There will also be the chance to earn certificates of attendance that can be used to log teaching hours or demonstrate a vested interest in SEM on your CV.

As I said, the sessions will be completely free. All I ask in return is for attendees to engage in the anonymous feedback process; this will help to improve the lectures and allow me to log the teaching in my portfolio.

The SEMinar series will begin in early October and run most Tuesday evenings at 18:00, for a 30-40min session. Those that are interested can either join the WhatsApp chat, or the mailing list, via the 2 links below, to get further updates from myself about upcoming sessions.

I look forward to hearing back from yourselves soon. Any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me on this email address: george.thomas4@wales.nhs.uk

Kind regards,

Dr. George Thomas
