GOSH Summer School 2026 – Pathways in Paediatrics: Small Steps, Big Impact
GOSH Summer School 2026 is a three‑day national programme designed for medical students and resident doctors who are interested in a career in paediatrics.
This year’s theme “Pathways in Paediatrics: Small Steps, Big Impact” highlights the breadth of opportunities within paediatric medicine and offers a unique insight into specialist paediatric practice.
Programme Overview:
Day 1 – Virtual (16 July 2026)
Delivered online, Day 1 provides a comprehensive introduction to paediatric specialties, including Neonatal Medicine, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Palliative Care, Clinical Genetics, among others.
Day 2 – In Person, Coram Conference Centre (17 July 2026)
The second day features talks on Medical Education, Global & Humanitarian Paediatrics, an overview of the paediatric application process, and a specialty debate. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take part in a careers networking lunch, view entries for the national poster competition, and participate in a series of interactive workshops, including the Application Masterclass, Learning Disability Workshop, Gamification Session, and Paediatric On‑Call Escape Rooms.
Day 3 – In Person, Great Ormond Street Hospital (18 July 2026)

Abstract & Poster Competition
The GOSH Summer School Abstract Competition returns for 2026. Delegates are invited to submit abstracts of up to 250 words, structured into aims, methods, results, and conclusions. High‑scoring submissions will be selected for poster presentation on Day 2.
Registration
Day 1 is open to delegates worldwide, while Days 2 and 3 have limited in‑person capacity and will operate on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
All aspiring paediatricians are encouraged to join this inspiring and highly educational programme. The GOSH Summer School continues to be an excellent opportunity to build foundational knowledge, gain practical experience, and engage with leading clinicians at one of the world’s foremost children’s hospitals.
