We are delighted to announce that Hywel Dda University Health Board’s first national conference for Medical Students and Doctors, Doctors' Routes Ahead: Interests and Growth (DRAIG), will take place on Saturday the 20^th & Sunday the 21^st June 2026 at Parc y Scarlets Stadium, Llanelli.   Please find attached draft agenda for your information.

This two‑day event has been created to support medical students and doctors along their career pathway, offering:

• Keynote speakers on inspiring and relevant topics

• Careers advice 

• Workshops focusing on:

  • Interview skills

  • Leadership and management skills

  • Research and innovation

  • Quality improvement

  • MSRA Support

  • Alternative Routes

• Poster displays and oral presentations with opportunities to win prizes and certificates

• Networking opportunities with resident doctors from across the country

If you are unable to attend the conference, you might still like to join us for the evening networking event. You do not need to book or pay for the daytime delegate package, the evening networking ticket is a standalone option priced at £40, and all Medical Students and Doctors are very welcome to attend.
